Photo day

I still haven’t got back into the swing of this yet and I really need to do a detailed “examination of my conscience” about dudelet and our ongoing discipline (horrible word) issues (and they really are our issues, not just his).

Meanwhile, here’s a photo.

  1. This is what I’m wanting to do, post about ongoing “discipline” issues with Kiksy, but I haven’t been able to bring myself to go into details yet. Living it is hard enough! I just want to find some techniques that actually work, but another issue I’m finding is: “What *is* naughty?” and again I keep getting back to: “Well being extremely active and asking 1000 annoying questions, never sitting down, lying down, being still,” isn’t really technically “bad” behaviour, especially when he doesn’t seem to be able to help it. Mind you, he does plenty other calculated really naughty stuff that I can’t bring myself to post about either. GAH!! They say the baby stage is the hardest. No way!

  2. Seems like “discipline” is on a lot of minds lately. We’ve been very tired and stressed out lately, and it shows to our detriment in our interactions with our kids.

  3. I just LOVE that photo.

I really like the “Love and Logic” parenting approach but I don’t know if you have those books over there?

  4. Beautiful photo!

  5. I’ve been off the grid for a while but 1)I always thought the notion of “terrible twos” was a myth. Four is the killer age. and 2) Didn’t he just start school? When kids are stressed (and keeping it together during the day through a mighty effort of will) they always regress at home.

    It won’t last.
