So this is going to be a week of slowly reintroducing myself to blogging after a month’s absence that feels so much longer…
Dudelette seems to be determined to skip crawling and go straight to walking.
Dudelet is alternately seriously interesting, engaging, funny, lovable company and utterly monstrous four year old terror by turns. Sometimes within the same sentence Six weeks summer holidays just as his little sister began to seriously demand our attention has been very tough for him.
And I’m about to head off for an astanga class.
Suddenly not having to study feels very strange.
P.S. Endless Boogie’s “Focus Level” and the Fleet Foxes’ “Sun Giant” e.p. Seriously.

I’ve always wanted to speak Astanga
Hey, welcome back! Glad to hear you survived.
Don’t let Dudelette skip the crawling–it’s crucial! Isn’t it unreal how fast it all is at that age?
They talk about terrible twos, but really I think the issue is the bipolar fours. My daughter is just the same–so sweet and kind, and then the next moment I swear her head might start spinning.
Welcome back again!
My daughter didn’t crawl much — maybe a month or two before she started walking? Some kids are just bound and determined to get vertical like the rest of us — maybe second children more so?
My mom studied on this…crawling is important for boys, but really not so much for girls. So no worries if she skips it. :-)
Welcome back, and gosh, with a toddler toddling, and another running around, all I can say is, “good luck, and no guilt if you need to buy a leash to keep up when you go out!”
Welcome, um, home.
Hey, nlg – yup, a home away from home. Kind of.
J and YM, I’m pretty sure its a second child thing but I didn’t know about the boys v girls crawling issue.
H, am trying to persuade her but she just creeches until she’s upright again! And friends tell me five is even worse (i don’t want to know that…)
Dan, (faux Scouse accent) you don’t speak astanga, astanga speaks you. And did you know that the walrus was Paul?
Welcome back!
Again :)
