I had assumed this was offered up as art (given your Tate tag). It is cool looking, but not sure it is art. Is it supposed to be, or is it just a problem with the Tate’s foundation?
We do actually have a crack in one of our walls that resembles this but though it’s my photo, it’s definitely someone else’s art – Doris Salecedo’s to be precise.
Wow…didn’t you have another post with this piece, but a totally different photo? (Or maybe that was in the link to the museum, it’s hard to remember before yesterday, these days.) Interesting effect on this one, the darkness and the textures.
H – yeah, I did – back in November. The picture in that is one from the Tate’s site, by the way.
Thanks, Cam and Dan. I have to confess that I was quite consciously trying to take on the influence of a Japanese photographer called Shomei Tamtsu. Came out completely differently, of course.
I’ll say.
That’s worrisome. Where is it?

Cool photo. The shadows and darkness make it appear to be a crack leading into an abyss.
Great photo, very gritty

You have picked a perfect example as there is a serious crack in the fabric of the world!
Gorgeous.
I love how in your Recent Comments list, now we’re all on crack!
Oops! Good point – I am, needless to say, currently preoccupied with an essay deadline. Had better say so and try and get us all off crack…
